Membership
Whether
you're licensed or not, anyone with a genuine interest in radio
communications is welcome to join! Dues
for WSSM memberships are $12.00 per year, beginning in September.
Besides sharing in the fun of amateur radio with fellow radio
enthusiasts, all members receive a certificate, suitable for framing,
and are kept up to date on club events and activities. Membership
certificates are available to new members automatically, and renewing
members upon request.
There
are three types of WSSM memberships available (explained in detail in
the WSSM Constitution & By-Laws):
Full membership
is open to licensed hams who are residents of Southern Maine and can
commit to attending meetings and events, since it also comes with the
right to vote, hold a club office, and nominate others for office.
If
you
live outside of the area and are still interested in joining, you can
become an Associate
Member, which
includes all the benefits of Full
Membership, except the right to vote, hold office, or nominate others.
As of March
2016, a new membership category is available for those with
a desire to support Emergency Communications. WSSM Emergency
Communications Team
(WSSM-ECT) membership is available by application to any licensed
amateur radio operator. There is no charge for a standalone WSSM-ECT
membership.

Accepts 
for membership purchases. All you have to do is choose one of the
button options below
to submit payment. The Regular membership button is for Full and
Associate memberships, and the Family Membership button is for those
who would like to take advantage of the Family Discount.
A family discount
is available
at 50% off the total combined regular price, for households with two or
more family members. For example, if three members of a family wish to
join, the regular rate would be $36. If you apply the family discount,
the total cost of membership becomes $18.
