For the second year in a row, the contest saw nationwide and international challengers, with logs coming in from as far away as Romania. Continental winners include Jorge Sierra LR1A, for South America, Stefania Chiruta YO9GJY for Europe, and Joseph Blinick K1JB, for North America.

National winners include Lars Linderos SA6CME, for Sweden, Stefania Chiruta YO9GJY, for Romania, Jorge Sierra LR1A, for Argentina, and Joe Blinick, K1JB, for the United States.

In the Categories, Charlie Shepard W1CPS took the top spot in Single Operator Low Power, with fellow Mainer and Hancock County winner Tom Clements K1TC, coming in second. Tom Warren K3TW, of Florida, took the top prize for Single Operator QRP. The most competitive category was Single Operator High Power, which saw overall winner, Joe Blinick K1JB, take the top spot, with second place, Tim Watson KB1HNZ, only 19 QSO's behind.

The most accurate logs (with over 10 QSO's), include those submitted by KB1YTR, KQ6P, W1CPS, YO9GJY, K1TC, and KB1HNZ. On average only 4% of all logs included errors such as miscopied calls and unmatched QSO's.

One thing we noticed, while examining logs, was a large number of call signs from newly licensed or upgraded hams. Some of these had only gained HF privileges days before the contest took place, which means the MEQP was possibly the first HF contest they took part in.

Three logging programs were primarily used to submit logs this year. These include Scott Davis' N3FJP Maine QSO Party Contest LogN1MM with the ME QSO Party update, and EI5DI's SD log

Once again, congratulations to all the winners, and we look forward to hearing from you again next year!
