2018 ARRL Field Day
Results
The
2018 ARRL Field Day results are in, and WS1SM captured first place in
Maine
for the fifth consecutive year. In addition, we finished 14th overall
in
category 3A, cracking the top 20 for the second time in 2 years.

is a QSL for a SSB contact with KB1HNZ on 14.248 MHz on 8 March 2016.
The QSL was produced for a special event activation in Western
Australia to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Long
Tan, Vietman, which took place August 18, 1966. Operators included:
Phil VK6GX, Steve VK6OZ, Marty VK6RC, Craig VK6VCK, and Mal VK6LC.
DX News
Our
last issue left off just prior to the Oceania DX Contest, where there
were several planned DXPeditions QRV for the contest, including YJ0GC
(Vanuatu), and VP6D (Ducie Is), among others. Other recent DXPeditions
included T06OK (Mayotte), in late September, TT8KO (Chad), in
late October, and 3D2JS (Taveuni Island (OC-016) Fiji), from early
February until March 10.
In
the weeks ahead, we look forward to FO/OK2ZI from Tahiti
(OC-046), French Polynesia on March 6-12, the J20DX/p
DXPedition from the rare Sept-Freres Islands (AF-059) on April
16-19, and after that from Moucha Island (AF-053) for about 24 hours
until early April 20. DK5ON will be active again as PJ2/DK5ON
from
Curacao (SA-099) on March 14-30.
