Over the next several weeks, we
look forward to some exciting DXPeditions, including some that will be active
during the CQWW DX SSB contest that takes place this weekend! Last year, over
35,000 participants submitted logs, making it one of the biggest contests of
the year. So, if you’re looking to add some new DXCC entities to your totals,
this is a great contest to take part in. Here’s a list of some announced DXPeditions between now and the end of the year:
G0EWI will be on the air from
Freetown, Sierra Leone as 9LYJDI, between October 14 – November 3, with a focus
on SSB on 40, 20, 15, and 10m.
K6ZO will be on the air as 7Q6M,
from Malawi, between October 19 – November 29, focusing on 160- 6m, SSB and
CW. He will also be taking part in the CQWW DX SSB contest during that period.
AB2RF will be on the air as VP5Z, from
Caicos Island (IOTA NA-002), operating HF, mostly FT8, FT4, some CW, and RTTY,
between October 24-31.
JH8JWF will be on the air from
Ivato, Madagascar, as 5R8AS, between October 24 – November 6, focusing on 80 –
6m.
A German team will activate as
P29RO from Papua New Guinea between October 25 – November 10, focusing on 160 –
6m, CW, SSB, RTTY, and FT8.
An Australian team will activate
as VK9CM from Cocos Keeling, between October 26 – November 3, focusing on 80 –
10m, CW, SSB, FT8, and RTTY. They will operate as VK9C during CQWW DX SSB.
RA1ZZ and team will activate Togo
as 5V7RU, between October 28 – November 11, focusing on 160 – 6m, CW, SSB, and
FT8.
A multi-national team will be on
the air from Djibouti as J28MD, between October 29 – November 7, focusing on
HF, CW, SSB, RTTY, and FT8.
SM6NT will be on the air from Hua
Hin, Thailand, as HS0ZME, between November 1-30, focusing on 40-10m, mainly CW.
The Rebel DX Group will activate
Banaba Island as T33T, between November 1-15, focusing on HF.
JA1XGI will be on the air from
Raivavae Island (IOTA OC-114), Austral Islands, as TX5XG, between November 2-9,
focusing on 160-10m, CW, SSB, RTTY, and FT8.
HB9FIY will activate as ZD7CA,
from St. Helena, between November 5-26, focusing on 40-10m, SSB and Digital.
PA7DA will be on the air from
Aruba as P40DA, between November 14-27, focusing on 80-6m, SSB, CW, and FT8.
A multi-national team will be on
the air as TO9W, from St. Martin, between November 30 – December 9, focusing on
160-40m.
ZL1MTO will be activating Norfolk
Island as VK9MTO, between December 29 – January 5, focusing on 20-10m, SSB,
FT8, and FT4.
